Becoming a Donor

The Community Foundation enables people and organizations with charitable interests to easily and effectively support the issues they care about - immediately or through their will or estate plan.  Donors can give to an existing fund or establish a charitable fund at the Community Foundation by contributing a variety of assets. Those assets are then carefully invested and professionally managed by the Foundation for long-term growth. A portion of this growth is then used to benefit the community through annual grants. Gifts to the foundation thus provide a sustainable growing source or grant making for the non profit sector - - Forever!

Creating a charitable fund that meets your needs
No matter what your interests, the Community Foundation staff can help you create a philanthropic plan that supports your charitable objectives both now and in the future. We can provide information on specific nonprofit organizations or help you identify organizations doing work in an area that is important to you.  As part of our team approach, we encourage you to consult with your legal and tax advisors to determine when and how gifts can be made to maximize your goals.
